The Frenkel Benefits Communications Department in our NYC location, is seeking an experienced production coordinator and designer to assist our Employee Communications Director.
The Communications Department provides newsletters, brochures, open enrollment packages, new hire/orientation kits, employee surveys and benefits websites to over 200 clients each year. The Department currently maintains over 200 websites, providing development, hosting and webmaster services. In addition to communications services to our clients, we support the promotional efforts of our firm.
In this role you be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job functions:
Assess project and identify requirements and make recommendations.
Prepare and manage project schedule including:
Identify and confirm logistics of project
Submit confirmed schedule
Communicate confirmed schedule
Adapt adjust schedules
Monitor compliance with schedules
Act as the liaison for activities with vendors and users and establish and maintain relationships with LIB/Frenkel community.
Create and execute design concepts under supervision of the Employee Communications Director and manage digital and print creative projects.
Conduct page layout and typesetting of department print creative projects.
Assist in design and layout of electronic projects, including websites, PowerPoint and PDF documents.
Coordinate production in collaboration with production coordinator.
Be a creative collaborator and support senior management, sales representatives and account executives with preparation of presentations and proposals.
Assist in maintaining FBLLC promotional materials.
Perform other Communication Department duties as needed (seminars, special projects, etc.)

Ability to handle basic office procedures i.e., answering phones, work on computer/laptop, move files no more then 5 lbs – 10 lbs.
Ability to work extra hours as requested, i.e., during heavy renewal periods.
Ability to go out on client calls, both local and minimally out of state with an Account Executive.
College degree in related field strongly preferred.
Scheduling Database Software (we will train)
Desktop Publishing Software: advanced skills at Adobe Indesign, Illustrator
Photoshop skills: strong familiarity with photo color correction and quality enhancement
Electronic software skills a plus (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash)
Complex document layout
Typesetting (knowledge of professional type standards)
At least three years of Desktop Publishing experience.
Must have excellent organization and time management skills to meet strict project deadlines.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate between with the Clients and Co-Workers regarding project needs and status.
Demonstrate thoroughness and attention to detail.
Work under pressure and be extremely flexible.
: The Production Coordinator has responsibility for assisting the Employee Communications Director with design, layout and typesetting of department creative projects and will have primary responsibility for project scheduling, production tracking and vendor liaison.
